Welcome to Cafe DryDock & Inn
Come and experience the timeless charm of a coastal Maine village located on Mount Desert Island while at our full service Inn which provides beautiful Southwest Harbor lodging in town along with great food at our popular Restaurant. Guests lodging at our Inn may also enjoy room service directly from our restaurant when it is open.
Café’ Drydock and Inn is located opposite the Village green in the center of Southwest Harbor Maine, surrounded by Acadia National Park. A pleasant five minute walk from the Inn brings you to the docks, boatyards, and Coast Guard Station of this working harbor.
On the opposite shore lies Manset, home of the world famous Hinckley Boatyard. There are many beautiful mountain top or seaside walks on the quiet side of Acadia National Park. Ships Harbor, Wonderland, and Beech Mountain are but a few sights to see.
You will be within walking distance of the water or a five minute drive to many activities, including sailing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and biking.
Our lounge and restaurant occupy the first floor of this historic building. Central stairs will lead you to our 12 foot wide hall, giving you the feeling of lots of air and space. Four of our rooms include kitchenettes. All have private baths, air conditioning, flat screens, cable TV, telephone and are nicely decorated.
Make Café Drydock and Inn your comfortable Southwest Harbor accommodations while experiencing your Mount Desert Island adventures. If you’d rather be in a private location out of town, take a look at our beautiful new cottage, Branch Lake Cottage, a vacation rental in Ellsworth.
